‘This Means War’ Moves Theater Release Date to Valentine’s Day

How romantic.

Twentieth Century Fox is moving its release date three days earlier for the action comedy “This Means War” on Tuesday February 14.

According to a press release, the film had “outstanding test screenings and strong word of mouth.”

“Starting Valentine’s Day, we’re making WAR, not love. We’re armed and ready with the perfect movie,” said Bruce Snyder, Twentieth Century Fox’s president of domestic distribution. “This is a picture that has it all—humor, charm, wit and action—and it plays through the roof.”

Here is a brief description:

The world’s deadliest CIA operatives are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.

The film stars Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon and Chelsea Handler. It is directed by McG and with the screenplay written by Timothy Dowling and Simon Kinberg.
