Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis Offered Leads in Lana and Andy Wachowski Sci-Fi ‘Jupiter Ascending’

Warner Brothers has targeted Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis for the lead roles in sci-fi movie “Jupiter Ascending.”

According to Deadline, “Jupiter Ascending” will be an original sci-fi story from Lana and Andy Wachoski. It will be their first major science fiction action franchise since “The Matrix.”

The plot is kept under wraps and production will begin later this year.

Tatum currently stars in the comedy “21 Jump Street,” which is in theaters. He will be seen in the sequel “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “Magic Mike” later this year. Kunis will be seen in Seth MacFarlane’s comedy “Ted” and the drama “Tar” later this year. She just wrapped up on Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great and Powerful” to be released next year.

As for the Waschowskis, they are currently in post production with “Cloud Atlas,” which is scheduled for release later this year.
