New Short ‘The Avengers’ TV Spot Premiered with Facebook game ‘Marvel: Avengers Alliance’

Hey, Facebook fans.

Looks like “The Avengers” are everywhere. And they invaded the Marvel: Avengers Alliance on Facebook.

The video game launched last month has over 4 million players playing on Facebook. As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., the player can assemble The Avengers to protect New York City from unknown threats and adversaries.

The player can recruit up to 29 different Marvel characters, including Iron Man, Captain America, Storm, Wolverine, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and more.

Players who watch the exclusive video will earn a gold bar for use in the Facebook game. The player must also complete chapter one, mission three call “Hail Hydro” in order to unlock the exclusive spot.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson.

“Marvel’s The Avengers” is an engaging, character-driven story packed with action, adventure and special effects. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins to assemble the iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. Marvel’s The Avengers is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.

The film hits theaters on May 4, 2012.
