It worked for “The Muppets,” so let’s bring on “Fraggle Rock.”

“Rango” co-writers Jim Byrkit and Alex Manugian were hired to write the script for the on-screen adaptation of “Fraggle Rock.”

“Fraggle Rock” was an international television series about cave-dwelling and singing puppet creatures called the Fraggles. Other puppet creatures on the show also featured the industrious Doozers and the furry giants called the Gorgs.

Jim Henson Co. and Montecito Picture Co. are producing the film.
