‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ is Official Sequel Title

Whoa, didn’t see that coming. Or did we?

Lionsgate officially announced the title of the “The Hunger Games” sequel as “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

The sequel will continue the story of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as they promote their Victory Tour in Panem. In this continuation, Katniss struggles with her feelings for Peeta and Gale.

The returning cast will include Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Woody Harrelson.

Director Francis Lawrence will helm the sequel from the adapted script written by Simon Beaufoy and Michael Arndt.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be in theaters next year on November 22.
