Gravitas Ventures Acquired U.S. Distribution Rights to ‘3,2,1 … Frankie go Boom’

Gravitas Ventures announced that the company acquired the U.S. domestic distribution rights to the raucous romantic comedy “3, 2, 1 … Frankie go Boom.’

The film will be available on video on demand (VOD) in September and then to be followed by a theatrical release from Variance Films in early October.

It will be the first distribution partnership from Gravitas and Variance as the companies plan to acquire and release up to eight independent films a year via theaters and VOD.

The movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Chris O’Dowd, Lizzy Caplan, Chris Noth, Whitney Cummings and Ron Perlman.

Here’s the synopsis:

‘3,2,1 … Frankie go Boom’  follows Frank Bartlett (Charlie Hunnam) who has been tortured embarrassed and humiliated by his brother Bruce (Chris O’Dowd) – usually on film  – for his entire life. Now that Bruce is finally off drugs and has turned his life around, things should be different. They are not. ‘3,2,1 … Frankie go Boom’ is a comedy about two brothers a girl with a broken heart, a sex tape, an angel and a pig.

Heck, Ron Perlman is going to be in a dress in this movie—so it has to be hilarious.
