Jackie Chan to Star in Untitled English-Language Action Comedy

Didn’t action star Jackie Chan said that he was retiring from action films, because he’s too old to perform these stunts anymore?

Apparently not.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog recently reported Chan’s next project will be an untitled action comedy filmed in English.

The movie will be produced in cooperation between Chan’s JC Group International and Beijing-based Talent International Media Group.

The studios have hired Jay Longino to write the script based on Chan’s original story idea.

The movie feature a detective hired to track down an American gambler who owes some debt to a Macau casino. The proposed settings for the film will include Hong Kong, Macau, Eastern Europe and mainland China.

Chan will play the title role of the detective.

Chan will be appearing in the action adventure movie “Chinese Zodiac,” which will be in theaters in China later this year.
