The Solution Entertainment Group tapped the British comedic actor Pegg in the lead role for “Hector and the Search for Happiness.”
The movie is based on a best-selling novel written by Francois Lelord. It is about an eccentric London psychiatrist named Hector on a global quest to find out if happiness ever exists.
The project will be directed by Peter Chelsom (“Shall We Dance?” “Funny Bones”) and with the adapted screenplay written by Chelsom and Tinker Lindsay.
Pegg starred in several movies last year, including “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “Paul.” He also lend his voice in “The Adventures of Tintin.” He will be reprising his role in next year’s “Star Trek” sequel as Scotty.
