The Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn introduced a very aggressive production schedule for Lucasfilm.
Horn indicated starting with 2015â€™s â€œStar Wars: Episode VII,â€ there will be a new â€œEpisodeâ€ film every other year. Additionally, standalone â€œStar Warsâ€ films will take place in the off-years.
It essentially gives audiences a new Star Wars movie every year.
There are many rumored standalone movie rumors on the Internet right now, including standalone films for Yoda and Boba Fett.
For â€œStar Wars: Episode VII,â€ J.J. will direct the next installment from a script by Michael Arndt.
