Many people have already predicted “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones†is the next “Twilightâ€-like movies series.
The movie is based off the first book of the young adult series “The Mortal Instruments.†There are six books in the series, in which is follows a young girl who discovers that she is a Shadowhunter. Shadowhunters are a magical race of beings that are half-angel and half-human who defends the world against demons and other supernatural forces.
The first film stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Zegers, Aidan Turner and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Latino-Review caught up with the author at the WonderCon 2013 presentation of “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones†in Anaheim this past weekend.
The film will be released nationwide on August 23rd.
