Taiwanese actor Godfrey Gao makes his American acting debut in “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.”

And that’s going to be a great start for an American career.

Latino-Review caught up with the Taiwanese model/actor on the red carpet at San Diego Comic-Con International 2013. He was there with the entire cast to promote the adaptation of the young adult novel.

Gao plays Magnus Bane, a warlock who likes to throw parties, in the movie.

The brief discussion is over his new found American career and his character in the upcoming movie.

The movie also stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan.

“The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” will be in theaters on August 21.
