BlizzCon 2013: Director Duncan Jones Revealed ‘Warcraft’ Movie Plot Details and Concept Art

world_of_warcraft_89World of Warcraft fans got a very special treat at this year’s BlizzCon 2013 convention. And we’re not just talking about swag.

Director Duncan Jones was at a panel in Anaheim this weekend to discuss some of the details of the “World of Warcraft” movie to begin production in Vancouver early next year.

And the fans will love it.

Duncan said the movie’s plot focus will be on both the Orc and Human heroes. He said, “It’s about both sides. It’s going to be red and blue.”

More specifically, it’ll be about Anduin Lothar versus Durotan, the heroes from the original real-time strategy games.

He didn’t name the actors in the cast at this time, but he did have them picked up.

“It’s been hard to find an actor who looks like Durotan,” he remarked. “Every time I meet an actor I just try to squish his face.”

And as a bonus for the attendees, there were even some revealed concept art at the con. The art was first published at Kotaku, here they are below:
