Brad Pitt’s ‘Fury’ Adds ‘Gravity’ Composer

After landing his first scoring project with 2011’s “Attack The Block,” he came out swinging this year with scores for “The World’s End” and “Gravity.” His work on the latter has made him one of Hollywood’s hottest composers, with filmmakers taking note of his ability to musically capture the tense, nerve-wracking story of Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller. Writer-Director David Ayer (End of Watch) has tapped Price to score his upcoming WWII film, “Fury.”

The film will tell the story of a five-man tank crew on a deadly mission- outgunned and outnumbered- behind enemy lines in Nazi Germany during the final days of WWII in 1945. The cast will be lead by Brad Pitt, and will also include Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Shia LaBeouf, and Logan Lerman.

On signing Price, Ayer says, “Steven Price’s fresh approach to scoring and his extraordinary creativity make him the perfect collaborator for my film.” Deadline reports that the film, which Ayer also wrote, is on schedule to make its November 12, 2014 premiere. His next directorial effort, “Sabotage,” will hit theaters on April 11, and will star “Terminator” alums Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington.
