In anticipation of tomorrow's teaser trailer premiere, the official Legendary Twitter account has just released a new picture to go along with the viral marketing.
Which leads you to this Yahoo article that shows this photo:
The marketing for Legendary's upcoming Godzilla, the latest update of the classic Japanese "kaiju" classic, has gone viral. In a move eerily reminiscent of one of Man of Steel's marketing ploys (MOS was also produced by Legendary, BTW), they've released a short, distorted military-style video. You can check it out below:
A website has also been launched. Muto Research looks like it's meant to be a military research site, containing highly classified information. The website has some interactive programming, and there's a chance you can come upon some easter eggs, or "hidden" features if you click around and tinker with things. Go give it a look.
Neither the videos, nor the site, reveal much about the movie- but that should all change on Tuesday, as that is when the world premiere teaser is set to hit.
Godzilla will rampage into theaters on May 16. Featuring a cast that includes Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kickass), Victor Rasuk (How To Make It In America), and Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy), the film looks to relaunch Godzilla for modern, mainstream audiences. It's directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters), with a screenplay written by Frank Darabont, Max Borenstein, and David Callaham that's based on a story by David S. Goyer.
What do you guys think out there? You getting excited?
