CinemaCon 2014: A Clip Shown for Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’

INSIDE OUTAlthough there will be no Pixar film in 2014, their next project “Inside Out” slated for next year looks like a winner.

Walt Disney Pictures discussed in more details about the plot for “Inside Out” and revealed a hilarious clip from the film to the CinemaCon audiences this week.

Director Pete Docter (“Up,” “Monsters, Inc.”) teams up with writer Michael Arndt (“Toy Story”) to bring a very fun animated story.

For quite some time, Disney referred to this project as “Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside the Mind.” And now it’s revealed on what that all mean.

The story revolves around five emotions, which are characters inside a little girl’s head. They are Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Anger (Lewis Black). These emotions try to work as a team to control the little girl.

It’s very similar to a 1991’s television show called “Herman’s Head.”

Walt Disney Pictures presented a long hilarious clip of a scene inside the girl’s head. As the girl is eating at the dinner table with her parents, the mother tries to carry a conversation with her daughter by simply telling her she can enroll for hockey. However, only Disgust, Fear and Anger are inside the girl’s mind. They fail to express happiness with Joy missing, but instead expressed the emotions of disgust, fear and anger. And the conversation spiral gets out of control.

The scene also shows the inner workings of the minds of the parents as they have the same emotions operating in their head.

“Inside Out” will be in theaters on June 19, 2015.
