Aquaman Finishes Production

A couple weeks ago may have been Aquaman week in terms of the marketing for Justice League, but just a couple days ago, Aquaman the film wrapped principal photography, as revealed by director James Wan and stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard.

The first post from Wan shows the director holding up a slate for the film (production name: Ahab) in front of what looks like…a whale’s mouth on a set? It’s hard to see, but Wan’s message is very clear:

Stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard posted their own messages on Instagram, and from the photos they posted, it looks like those two were ready to party it up after a job well done.

It’s a wrap!

Sadly, we don’t really have a great idea of what to expect from this film, but rumors point to it following Arthur Curry and his accepting of the throne of Atlantis (not to mention the power struggle that’s bound to ensue, as a result). Unlike most DC productions, this is also one (along with Wonder Woman) that hasn’t been plagued with reshoot reports and negative press.

Let’s hope this not only bodes well for the film, but for Jason Momoa’s performance of the Atlantean character in the upcoming Justice League.

Aquaman is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
