Fans have been waiting very patiently for the release of the new trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League. A few days ago we were thinking that perhaps the new trailer was going to be debut at Wondercon next weekend at the Warner Bros. Pictures panel that is going to take place on Saturday, April 1st. But this morning we got our answer unexpectedly during a brief teaser on NBC's Today Show.
The footage that is making it's way around the net, is centered around Aquaman, played by Jason Mamoa. In one particular moment Batman, played by Ben Affleck, is handing Aquaman his trident. It goes on to announce that in "2 DAYS UNITE THE LEAGUE... EXCLUSIVE TRAILER THIS SATURDAY". One of the last images we see is of the Justice League, minus Superman of course, standing as their vehicle door opens. You can check out the footage below, its not the best quality but for now its what is available.
UPDATE: New posters and photos have since surfaced. They are near the bottom of the piece.
Where or what time the trailer will be released is still unknown at this time. Since this trailer debuted on NBC could we expect the same for the trailer on Saturday? We will have to wait and find out more information. For years studios have used big platforms like Comic-Con and Wondercon to debut trailers and footage for their upcoming films. It's interesting to me to see how some studios have chosen to skip these events and save money. Reason being is that they don't need to sell comic book themed films to people at conventions because with out without this marketing, chances are they've already made up their mind to watch the film.
Personally as a big DC Comics fan I am ready to get this film over with. I say it like that because even though I have enjoyed the films, we all know that they could have been a lot better. So because of this Justice League makes me very nervous.
What's your reaction to yet another tease?
UPDATE: Since the time the tweet was posted we now have better quality versions surfacing on YouTube, this one in particular is shared by Comicbook.com
Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes -- Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash -- it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
