Artwork from Neil Blomkamp’s Secret and Cancelled ‘Alien’ Movie

Director Neill Blomkamp was secretly working on an “Alien” movie before his directorial debut with “District 9.”

Now it looks like a pipe dream.

The director revealed several concept images of the film, including the xenomorph, a scarred Corporal Dwayne Hicks, Weyland Corp., and alien-hybrid Ellen Ripley.

“Was working on this. Don’t think I am anymore. Love it though,” he wrote. “Woulda rocked. Was a mental stroll into the world Ridley Scott created.”

The concept art is by Geoffroy Thoorens.

Blomkamp did hint that the door is open for him to return to the project.
