While Thor: The Dark World may not have been the best example of a strong Marvel Studios film, Chris Hemsworth hasn’t become any less charming as Thor himself. In fact, in the year or so coming off of Captain America: Civil War, it seems like the character of Thor has taken on a new life of his own. If you’ve managed to see the two “Team Thor” shorts released by Marvel, as well as the more recent Thor: Ragnarok trailer, you’ll notice that he seems a lot bro-ier than he was in the past.

This is by no means a bad thing. Sure, it may betray his character’s origins a bit, but from a more objective standpoint, it makes for a much more entertaining watch, and when it comes down to it, I’m always up for an entertaining watch. Plus, Hemsworth has proven himself a worthy comedy performer, so we’re on board with seeing more and more of that side of him.

If you didn’t want to wait for Thor: Ragnarok, Chris Hemsworth has you covered, as he has put together a silly video where Chris Hemsworth (giving off a real Thor vibe) comes across a bunch of Avengers action figures. As was the case in Captain America: Civil War, Thor is nowhere to be found. Not too happy to see his Avengers buddies keeping him out of the loop yet again, he decides to lay waste to some of the figures — except for the Black Panther, Winter Soldier, and Hulk one, because they’re mates now.

Seriously, Marvel, you need to get on a mockumentary series with Thor on his low key adventures on Earth. We’d watch that show in a heartbeat. However, with Thor heading off into space for his next outing, I don’t expect he’ll be making his way back to our world anytime soon. What a shame. Opportunity missed.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018.
