It just keeps getting juicier by the minute. At some point, the folks behind Suicide Squad may want to just say, “Hey, maybe we should shoot some of this stuff on a soundstage?“
Yesterday, I shared some pictures and videos with you that revealed a sequence in the film where Batman was in pursuit of The Joker. Bats was in his Batmobile. The Joker in his hot pink ride. Today comes this new rash of videos that show the next escalation in that sequence. Looks like Batman doesn’t stay in his car for long, as we can now see him mounted on top of The Joker’s car, as the Clown Prince attempts to shake him off.
Have a look for yourself:
While this could all amount to maybe two minutes of screen time, I think it’s still surprising how much a presence Batman will have in Suicide Squad. Nothing leading up to filming hyped an appearance by The Dark Knight, and most people seemed to think that Joker’s role in the film would be on the small side- saving him mainly for a Batman solo outing. But with this sequence here, it stands to reason that Joker’s role is quite important to this particular story being told, and that this really will springboard audiences into Ben Affleck’s standalone Bat film(s).
In the mean time, if you’re the location scout for Suicide Squad, and/or the head of security…
