I am sure all the Better Call Saul fans, like myself, are disappointed that the season will be starting much later than it normally does, especially since we are slightly limited on TV show right now. Luckily, to feed our ongoing interest, we have gotten reports that some of the old crew from Breaking Bad will be making an appearance this season, for example the Walter White rumor that he will return. Today, I found a new piece of information while Aaron Paul (who plays Jesse Pinkman) was being interviewed on The Ellen Show, and Ellen asked Paul about his possible return on the prequel. Paul responded:

“God, I hope so, maybe I already shot it. We just — or they just — wrapped the [latest] season.”

Ok, so either Paul is being a total tease here, or maybe there is actually something to this.

While limited in scope, a cool feature of Better Call Saul is the show’s flash-forward scenes. You may remember the opening from season 1 where Saul (Bob Odenkirk) was managing a Cinnabon restaurant, or in season 2 where Saul got stuck in the trash room and carved his initials on the wall. Could this type of scenario be where Jesse Pinkman shows up? I highly doubt he will unknowingly and randomly meet Saul in a grocery store, but a flash-forward scene of Pinkman finding Saul could be much more plausible.

The only problem Better Call Saul has had is the lack of Breaking Bad characters aside from Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), and I have a feeling this season we will be seeing much more of the past characters come to light. We already know that Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) will be in this season either as a side role or possibly as the main antagonist. Outside of actually having Walter White (Bryan Cranston) show up, what better way in addition to Fring would there be to draw in Breaking Bad fans? Yup, Captain Cook himself, Pinkman.

Even if Paul shows up as Jesse Pinkman for one scene it would create a huge buzz on these here interwebs. What do the BCS fans think? Is Paul blowing smoke, or did he accidentally slip and try to cover it up quickly? Would Better Call Saul be better if we see White and Pinkman return in some form or fashion?
