HBO’s The Defiant Ones is a mesmerizing documentary that looks at two men who built one of the biggest music empires and shaped the contemporary culture today.

The series look at the beginnings of both men–one from city neighborhoods of Brooklyn and the other straight out of Compton.

It features multiple interviews not only with Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, but also with Trent Reznor, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Sean Combs, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Will.i.am, Eminem and Snoop Dogg over this multi-year project.

The Defiant Ones is available today on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download.
