When it was revealed via the official James Bond Twitter account that we’d be getting more info on the 25th film in the franchise, many of us were hoping we’d at least get a title for the darn thing. While we now have some new information, which came courtesy of a 20-minute video, which was shot at James Bond author’s Jamaican villa. And speaking of Jamaica, it looks like the franchise will be returning to the location yet again for this 25th outing. It’s been there before with such movies as Dr. No and Live and Let Die, and its involvement in this movie will really cement its importance in the James Bond canon once more. In the video, producer Barbara Broccoli discussed the importance the country has for the novel series and show.

“Bond is not on active service when we start the film, so he is actually enjoying himself in Jamaica. We consider Jamaica Bond’s spiritual home, so he starts his journey here.”

But Jamaica won’t be the only location. Bond 25 will also be shooting at Pinewood Studios, Norway, and in a city in Italy. As far as returning actors, we will be getting Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Ben Wishaw, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, and Jeffrey Wright. New faces include Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, and Rami Malek as the bad guy.

Also confirmed to be working to “liven up” the script is Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

As far as plot details, as previously mentioned above, the movie starts with him retired and chilling in Jamaica, “But his peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”
