Brace Yourselves! ‘League of Extraordinary Gentlemen’ Reboot Will Be Female-Centric!

This oughta go over well…

Producer John Davis has offered an update regarding the new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. You know, the reboot that hopes to wipe the slate clean and succeed where the notorious 2003 bomb failed. Here’s what he had to say about the new take, and what they’re doing to make it better:

Just by going back to the roots and making it authentic to what the fan base was really excited about. It’s female-centric, which I think is interesting. I love female characters, point-of-view characters in action movies. I thought ‘Mad Max’ was great. I think you can always find a fresh way of doing something and going back to the basics. What is it that people love? What is it that made them love the property in the first place?

You may have noticed he snuck in a certain phrase: Female-centric. Now, I don’t know much about the graphic novels on which this film will be based, but judging on the fanboy community’s reaction to the female-driven Ghostbusters reboot, that creative decision may come under some scrutiny.

So I’m just gonna leave this here, and let you- the readers- take it from here.

Talk amongst yourselves.
