According to Variety, actor Jude Law is in negotiations to join 2019’s Captain Marvel. Already on board to play the title character is none other than Oscar-winner Brie Larson. Set to play the villain is Star Wars alum Ben Mendelsohn, who played the reprehensible Krennic in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

There’s no word yet on what Law’s role will actually be in the film. Will he be a love interest or just a co-lead for the movie? That remains to be seen. Carol Danvers doesn’t exactly have a great track record with her relationships, with a good number of them ending up dead. Plus, given her extensive powers, her abilities would likely spell trouble for any normal person.

Of course, there is one character can play: Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel, who has already been rumored to be a part of the film by our friends over at MCU Exchange.

Jude Law has seemingly taken to big blockbusters as of late. A photo was recently revealed of him as Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and now this news. It certainly seems he’s quite ready to tackle some of the bigger budget fare that he’s steered clear of until now (King Arthur notwithstanding).

Who do you think Law will be playing in Captain Marvel? Let us know down below!

His “Hamlet” on Broadway was awesome! According to my wife, since I slept through most of it. He was also very cool signing autographs afterwards.
