Well, this is pretty interesting. For the past few years, we’ve seen the DC Extended Universe slowly morph and twist as fans start to vote with their wallet. Fans voted they didn’t like the Zack Snyder vision, so they pivoted to something else altogether. In said recent years, we’ve seen their best-laid plans go up and smoke. We’ve heard rumors for countless movies for the past while…but one we’ haven’t heard yet is that of Green Arrow.

Yes, the character that helped catapult the Arrowverse on the CW may have had a huge presence on the small screen for the past several years, but his prospects for the big screen have been largely ignored by both Warner Bros. and by fans. But, if we’re to believe a new rumor, that may be changing.

According to We Got This Covered, Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is on the studio’s wishlist to play the vigilante of Star City. Though, it’s worth mentioning that he isn’t a sure thing — just one of a few other actors on their list.

So does this mean we can expect a Green Arrow movie soon? No, not really. It sounds like the studio is just throwing some ideas and names at the wall. Whether or not it will stick is another deal altogether. That being said, it can’t be forgotten that the Green Arrow-adjacent character Black Canary will be popping up in Birds of Prey…so who knows what the future may hold.
