While FINDING DORY, which is a sequel to the 2003 Pixar film FINDING NEMO, hasn’t swum onto my sonar as of yet, it has topped Fandango’s most anticipated movies of this coming summer in its genre. It would appear that there are a great many people who can’t wait to see the continuing undersea adventures of Dory, Marlin, and Nemo.

FINDING DORY brings back the stars of the last film,  Ellen DeGeneres, and Albert Brooks, and takes us on a whole new adventure. The Disney/Pixar film, which seems poised to be yet another ginormous 2016 hit for the Mouse House, has just unveiled its latest trailer. You can see it right here:

I just watched it with my 5 year old daughter on my lap. She approves. 

As for me, the animation looks fantastic and, JEEZ!, Idris Elba has lent his voice to everything this year. ZOOTOPIA, THE JUNGLE BOOK, and now FINDING DORY. Guy’s going to be cashing Disney residual checks for a very long time. This one is extra special, though, cause in a bit of inspired casting the sea lion that he shares all of his scenes with here is voiced by his former THE WIRE mate, Dominic West.

FINDING DORY comes out June 17.
