Review:

Steve Niles and Damien Worm deliver another interesting plot driven story, even if it does miss some of the action previous issues held. The Allan family is forced to split up as some must go and track down the invading vampires, while others attempt to find and rescue Lucas from whatever dimension he’s been sent too. Damien continues to just grow and get better with each issue as his art definitely shines through!  Steve Niles is definitely going for a slow burn story, but I have faith once Dante and Vivian stumble upon the vampire lair, some of the action will pick up!

The October Faction #15 page

  • The Hey!: Another beautifully drawn issue by Worm, and some interesting plot developments for a potential “big bad” villain coming up.
  • The Eh: It’s a bit of a dull read, mostly used to set up some future story elements. The What? : No real big moments this issue, but it was cool seeing werewolf Lucas take down some monsters.
  • Who should read this series?: People who enjoy a bit of noir and a bit of the macabre in their stories.
  • Why should you buy this book?: It’s setting up the big pieces for this current vampire story line so readers who miss it could potentially feel lost later.
