Could Star Wars: The Last Jedi Debut A New Lightsaber Color?

The color of lightsabers has always been a huge part of the Star Wars franchise. The colors themselves only became even more important when it became clear that green and blue were associated with the Light, and red was associated with the Dark.

In the prequel trilogy, the badass Mace Windu even got a unique purple lightsaber, and speaking to Parade, director Rian Johnson hinted that a new color may be on the way in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Here’s what the magazine wrote:

“Rey uses a blue lightsaber; Kylo Ren uses red. And director Johnson hints that we may see a new hue.”

If there is going to be a new lightsaber color, I would assume it will be for a good reason and not just for show. I hope that is has something to do with Snoke’s lightsaber, assuming he has one. This is something I hadn’t thought about until now, but he probably has one right?

Andy Serkis has said that while Snoke is a very powerful darkside user, and even the highest level of force users including Yoda and Palpatine have carried a weapon, so I see no reason why Snoke would be unarmed.
