Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman Set to Write Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’

Half of the writing team from “The Lego Movie” jumped on board to pen the adaptation of “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.”

Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman will write the script based off the Alvin Schwartz’s books of short stories on folklore and legend published between 1981 through 1991. The books were illustrated by Stephen Gammell and sold more than 7 million copies worldwide.

Guillermo del Toro is attached to direct the project at this time. For the Hageman brothers, they are also working on the “Ninjago” animated Lego movie.
