David Denman Joins 'POWER RANGERS' Cast

– by Joseph Medina

Another cast member has joined the POWER RANGERS reboot of the kids action TV series of the same name (or at least of similar name). According to THR, David Denman has signed onto the film.

The outlet explains that Denman's role will be that of Sam Scott, father of Jason Scott -- the red ranger in the group. Sam will reportedly be at odds with Jason on his son's football career. We'll obviously have to wait and see if he'll be an overzealous parent, or one who wants his son to focus more on his schoolwork.

Fans most likely recognize Denman from his recurring role as Roy in the U.S. version of THE OFFICE. The actor also recently showed up in Michael Bay's 13 HOURS

Denman will be joining the cast that includes RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, and Elizabeth Banks -- who will most notably be starring as the evil Rita Repulsa.
