Deadpool 2: Check Out Josh Brolin’s Cable Haircut!

I don’t think it’s any surprise that the physicality of an actor plays a big role in whether or not fans enjoy their portrayal. For years, there were some fans who wouldn’t let go of the fact that Hugh Jackman was just too big and good looking to play Wolverine. While there have been more than a few physical departures for certain characters in the years since, Hollywood seems to be skewing closer and closer to the source material, when possible.

Deadpool looks exactly like his comic book counterpart, and given how faithful that interpretation was in tone and style, it makes sense that for Deadpool 2 they’d do their best to stay faithful in every aspect, especially one as important as Cable. Some time ago, it was revealed that Josh Brolin would be playing the time-traveling mutant — an inspired choice, really, that I hadn’t personally considered.

In a recent Instagram post from the actor, he showed himself off hanging out with his son. Check it out.

Yes, it’s adorable that he’s spending time with his son, but more of note was the dude’s hair. It bore a real striking resemblance to that of Cable’s. All they’d really have to do what lighten it a bit, and he’d be a dead ringer for the X-Force character. With production of the film nearing (when last we heard, they were hoping to shoot this month), it would make sense that he’d have his haircut ready to go. The man is certainly buff enough.

We couldn’t be more excited to catch a real glimpse of the movie — and of Cable himself — but with it still a solid year away, we still have a long way to go.

What do you think of Brolin’s hair and physique? Is it Cable enough for you? Let us know your thoughts down below!
