Last week there was a hot rumor I posted about how Kerry Washington was being tested for Domino, from Deadpool 2. She is not the first name thrown around for this iconic role as Lizzy Caplan (My pick for Lyssa Drak in the GLC movie), Ruby Rose, Sofia Boutella, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, and Mackenzie Davis have all been rumored.

While being interviewed by Extra on the red carpet, Washington was asked if there was any truth to the rumor.

“I don’t have anything to say about that. Of course I would [want the role], but of course you have to get the right person for whatever role.”

That is slightly misleading as she could simply be saying, “no comment,” or, “yup, it’s me seeing as you need the right person.” I have a feeling we will be hearing more about this in a few days or weeks to come.

Washington got exceptional recognition after she played Jamie Foxx’s slave wife in Django: Unchained, but she is much better known as playing Olivia Pope in the show Scandal. So, Matt Rooney over at JoBlo had this to say about Scandal:

“… unless you’re a mother with three kids who, ‘just needs some time away from those little monsters,’ I wouldn’t expect most of you reading to be able to tell me much about that program.”

Well home-skillet, you are missing out as the show is GREAT. There are extremely compelling characters in the show such as Huck (Guillermo Díaz), Quinn (Katie Lowes), Cyrus (Jeff Perry), and the ultra-creepy Charlie (George Newman). Not to mention Washington herself as she masterminds the lead role. If you like House of Cards then Scandal is for you, and it is even more crazy with just what goes on in the White House. Just Washington in this role is why I hope she gets the Domino part!

We can only wait and find out, but I am very excited to see both Domino and Cable cast soon! What do you guys think?? Do you like Washington in Scandal? Should she get the role? Who would you rather see play Domino? Who would you like to see play Cable?
