It's a proud tradition among many directors to pop up in their films in cameo roles. This is the case with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE director, Bryan Singer. While, to my knowledge, he hasn't shown himself in all his films, he has shown himself in both X2 and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The latter was definitely the most noticeable. If you'll recall, he was the man who filmed Mystique by the fountain. Of course, the footage went on to be quite influential in that timeline, as it recorded an iconic moment in its history.
But Singer didn't stop there. In the recently-released X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, Singer showed up in another unexpected place -- and it may be his favorite cameo yet, the director revealed on the Empire Podcast.
“I have a little cameo, I’m the guy with the machine gun… screaming. When I look at it, I couldn’t recognize myself so I knew no one else could. But it was cool to get killed by Wolverine. It’s now one of the many things I can put on my resume.”
Even if you go back, this particular cameo may be a bit difficult to spot, as Wolverine certainly went on quite the rampage in his scene from the film. Either way, if you were on the fence about whether or not you wanted to see the movie again, or see the movie at all, you can put this one down under the "plus" column of things to look forward to the next watch-through.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is in theaters now!
