Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi Series To Be Set Eight Years After Revenge Of The Sith

With most current conversations regarding the Star Wars Universe are in reference to whether or not Dark Side Rey is a vision or a clone, we have some news dealing with the recently announced Obi-Wan Kenobi series that will go into production next year and stream on Disney+.

As said in the video above (which I’ve cued up for you folks), the series will be set eight years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, the film in which Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, and the film in which Kenobi left his best friend, and brother, Skywalker, to die on a lava bank.

The series could bring a number of nods to other installments of the franchise. Darth Maul could potentially be involved as well as the criminal organization Crimson Dawn, which Maul is apparently a member of and reigns as one of the head honchos. It’s also possible we may get an occasional glimpse of a young Luke Skywalker, which if not overdone could be kind of fun. What we don’t want to see is a post-Revenge of the Sith and pre-A New Hope meeting between Kenobi and Vader.

Lots of potential with this series and I have to say this is a Star Wars project I am most excited for behind The Mandalorian.
