With the Marketing for Star Wars The Last Jedi moving into high gear now, we are starting to get a better picture of how Rian Johnson’s follow up to The Force Awakens may shake out, but as always these things are open to interpretation until the movie finally reveals all of its secrets.

With that in mind if you are trying to stay away from any potential SPOILERS you may want to turn away now!

Potential SPOILERS ahead:

One such piece of marketing has been causing a stir today as IMAX released pictures on Twitter of the stands they will be using in promotion of the Star Wars film before and during its release on December 15.

You may notice that Luke Skywalker surprisingly appears on both the Light side stand, and also the Dark Side stand.  Now there could be many reasons for this, his influence on both Rey and Kylo, the simple fact he is the biggest marketing draw of all the cast, or it could reference that Luke may turn to the Dark Side or hint at him becoming a ‘gray’ Jedi as has been predicted by fans?

The jury is out till we see the movie, but the mystery is certainly getting fans talking, and that has to be good for marketing whichever way you look at it?

What do you think of the IMAX stand? Let us know in the comments below.

We always knew Rey was into the dark meat….

      That is PERFECT!

    • Lenin1959

I already hate the marketing alien. They succeeded in creating a toy creature that has even less soul than the Ewoks. Well done!

But imagine how cute a battery-operated, dancing porg would be?

        • Kindofabigdeal

Almost got one at Gamestop a few weeks ago until I seen the price.

Chewie should just use them as snacks. A porg a day keeps the dogcatcher away.

  • Joe Chaisson

That would be just bad story telling.
