Disclaimer: This post contains spoilers for the upcoming Justice League.

While studios are usually good about keeping their actors in check when it comes to spoilers, you can always count on merchandise to leak actual legit info to fans. This trend continues with a new Justice League-inspired Superman hat from SuperheroStuff.

Check out their product description below:

“Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman’s costume post-death:

A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.

In the film Justice League, it seems Superman’s cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday.”

Let’s admit it. We knew Superman was coming back, so it’s hard to call that a spoiler. Fans of the comic knew that he’d likely be donning the black suit as well, but given all the Justice League advertising showed Supes with his standard suit on, we couldn’t exactly confirm it. This description only seems to further cement the speculation. This isn’t quite a confirmation, but it’s getting harder and harder to deny we know what the future holds for the superhero.

The regeneration matrix would kind of seem to go against the last few minutes of what we saw in BvS tho.

Maybe the Joker switch Supermans body with a double and put him in the chamber to make him come back and fight Batman some more. Or maybe just for the lulz.

      • AmiRami

I’d love that! So long as its not Leto’s joker.

Yeah, but they have the license to change whatever that process entails. They can find a way to bring it back without making it completely accurate

LOL I know. I am just nitpicking as usually. Personally I like the idea of them folloiwng the comics.

  • Kindofabigdeal

Weren’t there supposed to be 4 different types of Supes who returned? Never finished that storyline so what do I know?

    • AmiRami

      Yep.

Cyborg Superman – really Hank Henshaw
Superman with the sunglasses, aka the Eradicator
Steel – really John Henry irons who adopted the S/ honoring Superman
Superboy – clone of Superman and Lex Luthor
