Hold the phones, folks. It looks like Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson is attached to yet another project. Yes, sometime between his involvement in FAST & FURIOUS, SAN ANDREAS 2, JUMANJI, DOC SAVAGE, BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, and BAYWATCH, he plans on acting in another potentially big budget film.
In a report from Deadline, the outlet exclusively reports that CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE and WE'RE THE MILLERS director Rawson Marshall Thurber has been pitching around an action film with Johnson attached to star. What's more, the pitches seems to be at the center of a bidding war from various studios, with "multiple seven-figure offers on the table." The movie is being described as DIE HARD in China, "where it becomes one man against extraordinary circumstances and is set in the Middle Kingdom."
Legendary, Universal, Sony, and Paramount have all reportedly made seven-figure offers, and even New Line seems to be circling the waters for the project, which hopefully speaks to the quality of the project.
As mentioned above, Johnson and Thurber have most recently worked together on the action comedy CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE, which also stars Kevin Hart. That particular film isn't set to hit theaters for another few weeks, but if the trailers are any indication, it looks to be a good time in the theaters.

CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE hits theaters on June 17, 2016.
