It’s one trippy life.

Based on the best-selling Stephen Elliott’s memoir called THE ADDERALL DIARIES, James Franco stars as a successful writer suffering from writer’s block due to his substance abuse, father issues and relationship problems. To overcome his writing issues, he investigates the 2007 trial of Hans Reiser, who murdered his wife and involves himself in a new romantic relationship.

The film also stars Amber Heard, Christian Slater, Wilmer Valderrama, Ed Harris and Cynthia Nixon.

Latino-Review had a sit-down interview with Franco and director Pamela Romanowsky about the project.

THE ADDERALL DIARIES is out in select theaters today.
