Looks like things at Fox are about to get spooky. Well, maybe not too spooky.
Deadline is reporting that Fox, home network of The X-Files, is set to pick up the series Ghosted, which is being described as a comedic X-Files. The show already has my interest based on that simple premise alone, but it looks like Craig Robinson (star of The Office, Morris From America, and This Is The End) and Parks and Recreation alum Adam Scott are both set to star and executive produce the series.
Deadline describes the show as follows:
“Ghosted centers on Leroy Wright (Robinson), a cynical, hilarious skeptic, and Max Allison (Scott), a genius “true believer†in the paranormal, who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant “unexplained†activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the humanrace.”
Joining Robinson and Scott as executive producer is That Awkward Moment writer/director Tom Gormican, who will also serve as the writer for the show’s pilot episode.
