Game Of Thrones Star Joins Robert Zemeckis’ UFO Series

Well, I guess this is kind of a spoiler for Game of Thrones, right? Well, let’s hope that if you cared, you didn’t click the article.

SPOILER!

Looks like Littlefinger actor Aidan Gillen didn’t have too long to wait for his next acting gig after his character was magnificently killed off in the previous season of Game of Thrones.

Deadline is reporting that Gillen is set to take the lead into History’s drama series Blue Book from executive producer Robert Zemeckis.

The outlet describes the series as follows:

Blue Book chronicles the true top secret U.S. Air Force-sponsored investigations into UFO-related phenomena in the 1950s and ’60s, known as ‘Project Blue Book.”’Gillen will play Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a brilliant astrophysicist, family man, and UFO skeptic who is recruited as the Chief Scientific Advisor to ‘Project Blue Book.’”

The 10-episode series is created and co-written by David O’Leary, who as far as I can tell, is a relatively unknown commodity in Hollywood. It’s likely why they brought on Hollywood vet Zemeckis to executive produce and Suits executive producer Sean Jablonski to showrun.

This’ll be an interesting project to keep an eye on as it nears completion. Are you looking forward to seeing what this UFO series has to offer? Let us know down below!
