On December 11 the world will get its first look at F. Gary Gray’s Fast 8. The film, which will be the eighth in the seemingly unstoppable Fast & Furious franchise, will be the first one that centers on the main core characters that won’t include the late Paul Walker. Prior to his untimely death, Walker had appeared in every Fast & Furious flick except for the offshoot Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift. Ever since that brief trip to Tokyo, the series has been all about the core “family,” which includes characters played by Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and more.
Today, in anticipation of the world premiere of the Fast 8 trailer, the production has unveiled a brief retrospective on the series and its emphasis on family. While it’s cool on its own, if you’re a fan of the series, what adds a little extra something is the fact that it gives us our first peak at Fast 8 towards the end.

Fast 8 is going to include some new cast members, like Charlize Theron, a new setting (New York City), and it’ll mark Gray’s first foray into this series. It’ll also bring Tokyo Drift’s Lucas Black back into the festivities.
