Well, it seems like Marvel and Netflix are very close to revealing the release date for their upcoming series The Punisher. But it isn’t quite as straightforward as we’d like it to be! Rather than just tell us, they opted to hide the release date in a video tweet.

Check out the tweet below!

So what is the release date? One user thinks he knows they answer, and thinks its October 20 as a result.

But The Punisher himself seems to have at least debunked this one rather quickly…or did he validate it by responding?

Our own sleuthing uncovers a somewhat similar take. After scrubbing on this thing back and forth…I can only make heads or tails of one thing here, and it’s a 20 above where a date would be.

I was, however, unable to find any indication of a 10 or October, so I’m not quite sure where that user got that month from. That being said, Netflix always release on Fridays, and the only 20 coming up on a Friday is October 20. Could that little shade of a 20 be the clue that we need to piece this all together? I wasn’t able to find any other evidence that points to a different date, so for the time being this’ll have to do.

What do you think? Were you able to make something of this clue? Let us know your thoughts down below!

The Punisher MAY hit Netflix on October 20, 2017.

haha, this is too much fun, especially since we can almost see it.

Cutting it pretty close on an announcement if it really is Oct 20.

It’s Netflix dude lol it’s not like they are relying on opening day sales….

They are already publishing lists of everything coming in October. Netflix might not worry about opening day, but they are worried about subscribers. Cutting it this close is basically turning down free advertisement.
