Doug Jones, known for bringing physical oddities to life in Guillermo del Toro movies like the Hellboy series and Pan’s Labyrinth, has taken to twitter to tease that his role as Deathbolt- who is expected to appear on The CW’s Arrow next month- will also appear on the network’s The Flash series.

Deathbolt is an electrically-charged super-villain. He can channel, absorb, and redirect electricity similar to the Spider-Man rogue Electro. Jones is set to make his debut as the character on April 15 in an episode of Arrow, but his revelation that he’ll appear on The Flash a few weeks later is a further demonstration of how closely the two series are intertwined.
Jones is well-versed in the world of comic book adaptations, of course, since aside from Hellboy he was also the physical embodiment of Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. In fact, one of the actor’s earliest credits is that of a Thin Clown in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.
Excited for his take on Deathbolt?
