Henry Cavill’s Next, and More, Get Release Date Changes

Transient

Four upcoming films just had their release dates changed. Two got moved up. Two got moved down. The most drastic switch goes to Henry Cavill’s The Man of U.N.C.L.E., which has now been delayed 7 months. If you’re looking forward to any of these, take note of when you’ll now be able to see them.

  • The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will now be released on August 14, 2015 (changed from January 16, 2015)
  • Fury will now be released on October 17 of this year (changed from November 14)
  • Point Break will now be released on July 31, 2015 (changed from August 7, 2015)
  • Pixels will now be released on July 24, 2015 (changed from May 15, 2015)

So, do any of these alter your movie plans for the next year? Of this crop, I’m most interested in Fury, which has a great cast (Brad Pitt, Michael Peña), and hopefully a David Ayer that brings his End of Watch sense of grit and realism to the film’s World War II setting. Glad to know that it’s opening a month sooner, and that I won’t have to choose between that and Dumb & Dumber To on November 14.
