Will we see Iron Spider Armor in the MCU next year? That is a question that comic book fans have been asking ever since it was announced that Spidey would make his MCU debut on Captain America: Civil War. Just how close are the Marvel comics going to tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially since the third Captain America film will be Spidey's first.
In Amazing Spider-Man #529 Tony Stark builds Peter Parker a suit which incorporates Iron Man technology from Stark's company. Peter Parker used this suit during the Civil War while he was on the side of Iron Man and the Superhuman Registration Act.
The armor was abandoned later in the storyline when Peter Parker switch sides and joined Captain America and the Secret Avengers right before the Fallen Son story arc. How closely will the MCU follow the existing comic book storylines?
Potential spoilers below!
Latino-Review has been told that the original comic book plot of Iron Spider will not be part of “Civil War” but instead Stark will be the one responsible for creating Spidey’s web shooters.
When we first meet young Spider-Man, Peter Parker will be a hero using only things a teenager has access to while Stark has the capability of making more "hero ready" suits (he has a line about making the Avengers "look cool" in Age of Ultron).
It's possible that Spidey's side isn't decided by who gives him the coolest clothes if the comic is any indication. Then again, the parallels between the Civil War comics line and the Civil War movie are fewer and fewer the more we learn.
