There's certainly been a lot of activity lately coming out of Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs. Last week there was the big news that Sony had put the film into turnaround. Then news broke that Universal had picked up the picture. Now there's word that Natalie Portman is in talks to join the Aaron Sorkin-penned feature.
If everything pans out, Portman would be joining Seth Rogen and, depending on who you ask, Michael Fassbender. See, THR has Fassbender's status as "attached to star." Yet Deadline claims the actor is merely being courted. He would play the titular Apple co-founder, while Rogen would play the company's other co-founder, Steve Wozniak. As of now, there are no details on who Portman would be portraying, but Deadline is reporting that the role will be substantial.
While the pre-production for this film has certainly been tumultuous, it seems to finally be moving in the right direction. With names like Boyle, Sorkin, and Fassbender involved, this could be one to watch out for- certainly more than the Ashton Kutcher bomb, Jobs.
