As is often the case when an old TV show is getting remade, several members of the original cast are being sprinkled into the movie to create a bridge between old and new fans. We already know that David Hasselhoff is going to appear alongside Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Alexandra Daddario in the big screen remake of BAYWATCH- which seemingly wants to do for Baywatch what the 21 JUMP STREET movies did for that old show.
Johnson has taken to his Instagram to reveal that The Hoff won't be the only original cast member appearing the action-comedy based on one of the most successful television series of all time. Pamela Anderson, who became a massive star thanks to her work on the show as C.J. Parker, will be in the film.
Here's the post:
She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn't have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us! #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017. #PamAnderson #OS #OriginalSmokestack
Similar to Hasselhoff, she won't be reprising her original role. Johnson is playing The Hoff's Mitch Buchannon and Kelly Rohrbach is taking over the role of C.J. Parker.
No word yet on who Anderson is playing, or how big of a part it will be. Are you excited to see her back in the world of BAYWATCH?
The film is being directed by Seth Gordon (HORRIBLE BOSSES), and is scheduled to come out on May 19, 2017.
