Justice League: Director of Photography Wants A Snyder Cut

Over the last week we have seen more and more requests from fans for Warner Bros. to release a Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. Now we have one of the crew members saying he would also like to see a Snyder cut of the superhero team up film. Cinematographer, Fabian Wagner (Game of Thrones) expressed his desire for the longer cut of the movie while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter.

“This one was even shorter than I expected, so there are scenes that aren’t in there. I really hope we get to see a director’s cut, which will give us everything that we shot that didn’t make it in. What I love about his [Snyder’s] director’s cuts is they are long, but he takes his time to tell the story. I’ve never watched any of his directors cut and thought ‘This is long.” Whether they are three hours long, or three hours and ten minutes, they always seemed to go quick.”

While it was a tighter runtime, when introducing three huge characters into a film, I would say you need more than two hours to do it. I would also like to see a Snyder cut, not sure how much different the film will be, but for better or worse Snyder has been DC’s guy, and the whole universe is based around his vision.

I think when Whedon came in, many fans were relieved to have a guy who had handled superhero teams before and assumed DC’s narrative issues would be worked out, but after seeing the film, many were still disappointed. I found Justice League will produce the same result.
