Justice League: Gal Gadot On What Wonder Woman Will Bring To The Team

Fans are about two months away from DC’s Justice League, and the studio hopes to continue the success it had with Wonder Woman. Things are definitely shifting around over at DC with the recent announcement of an all new banner of films not connected to the current DC extended universe, and an origin film for the Joker in the works. Us Weekly (via ComingSoon) caught up with one of the stars of Justice League, Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman. She gave fans some insight into where her character is at currently. According to Gadot, Wonder Woman has changed a lot:

“She’s grown up — it’s been a century, after all! She’ll bring her specific qualities to a group dynamic, and she understands the enemy better than anyone else.”

She surely has more years of experience than the other members of the Justice League. Having tangoed with the likes of Steppenwolf before, Wonder Woman has the most to offer the team in that aspect of battle. With her and Batman being the only Justice League members having fought a supernatural being before (that we know of anyway), it will be up to them (mostly Wonder Woman) to guide the newest members of the Justice League. After getting off to a rough start in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gadot commented on the current status of Wonder Woman and Batman’s alliance:

“Since they’ve fought together, they know each other’s strengths. They also understand the hope Superman stood for, that was lost [when he died], so they feel that more than the others.”

With new posters putting Wonder Woman in front of the rest of the Justice League, Batman could potentially take a back seat as far as leadership and let Wonder Woman take over the League. Though I don’t see either character being power hungry. The (temporary) loss of Superman had to have been a tough situation for an already distraught Batman and for Wonder Woman. Seeing a man with powers such as his be defeated must have been devastating for the newly assembled team. Gadot won over audiences and critics with her portrayal of DC’s legendary Amazonian princess, and gave DC its first real all around hit.
